Dear Friend,
It's been a while, two years, to be exact (scream). In that time, life has unfolded in ways I am thankful for, teaching me lessons I never anticipated. I've learned that pauses are not just breaks; they're opportunities for growth, reflection, and renewal.
Starting again feels like standing at the edge of a familiar path, heart racing with anticipation and a hint of what-ifs. But as I've come to realise, every new beginning carries the wisdom of past experiences and the promise of fresh discoveries.
In the coming weeks, I look forward to sharing stories of faith, moments of clarity, and the beautiful messiness of life.
Since we last connected here, a lot has shifted. I’ve grown not just professionally, but personally. I pivoted hard into building a SaaS product (yes, a whole software company!), which pulled me deep into the world of sustainability, energy, and ESG. It's been equal parts thrilling and exhausting. I will share more when it’s go-time!
Somewhere in between, I convinced myself I was going to become a cybersecurity GRC analyst. I devoured materials on cybersecurity frameworks, earned a certificate, and learned Scrum. The agile bug bit me hard.
I also flirted with the idea of being a content creator, bills and debts were piling up, -grew my TikTok to over 1,000 followers in under three weeks (I had to join different TikTok lives - drop roses haha & joined a f4f trend on X), only to discover just how much of a full-time job “passive income” really is. Spoiler alert: it’s not passive at all. Thankfully, I cleared the debts that caused me sleepless nights, almost there..
There were birthdays (I turned 29 & 30, and in two days 31 - El-Roi, thank you!), job rejections, funding disappointments, and many congratulations. For every “no,” there was a quiet reminder to keep building, growing, caring and praying. And so I did. I'm still doing. For every ‘yes,’ I was reminded that God is good and kind!
This space has always been where I pour the in-betweens, the not-yet-polished parts of life. I'm back now with a little more grit, a lot more stories, and a renewed desire to fill these pages again.
Thank you for joining me on this renewed journey. Talk soon.
With warmth and gratitude,
Toby
