Dear Friends,
It’s been so long and as usual, a lot has happened. I trust you are doing well.
The last two weeks have been filled with a lot of emotions, as you might have observed the #ENDSARS protest physically or online. I couldn’t protest physically, because I was ill and by the time I got better to join the protest, it had become a bit rough in some areas. Nevertheless, the protest was really peaceful and organic, really proud of my generation aka talk and do!
I pushed online, we all pushed and it felt surreal, especially on Twitter. If you are an avid Twitter user you’ll understand what I mean - we were fighting for one cause together as a community. Oh yes, we got the attention of the international community; celebrities, and news agencies alike but we didn’t get the attention of the President of Nigeria, he didn’t speak to us or acknowledge our cause. He sent news to us that what we are fighting for has been disbanded only for them to rename it as another entity, oh we fought harder and demanded five things, all to no avail. He has no regard for us!
Recounting what happened in the last 17 days is difficult because, for a lot of Nigerian youths, it ended in tears, despair, shock, anger, and strength to keep fighting.
On October 20th #LekkiMassacre happened, the Government of Nigeria and the Nigeria Army denied killing young protesters, many were injured, lives were lost and a lot of people are missing. I watched the aftermath of the shooting on DJ Switch IG live, I couldn’t hold back the tears. The lights were shut hours before, it was very dark and filled with anguish.
The current mood is we won’t give up, even though some are ready to Japa (don’t feel bad if you want to) the rest we will continue to sensitize the masses, speak up online and offline and prepare for 2023.
Continue to talk about #ENDSARS #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITYINNIGERIA and follow through with our #5for5

We sympathize with businesses and individuals, whose properties were vandalized and looted caused by hoodlums and ignorant citizens. You will rise again.
May all those that are still missing be found. Amen
Peace and strength to those mourning. Amen
